Sam Deering
For State Representative
Sullivan County District 8
Navy veteran who puts people first — running on the Democratic ticket alongside Hope Damon.
Meet Sam
A Navy veteran who puts people first
Sam Deering is a Navy veteran and potter residing in beautiful Washington, New Hampshire. Always ready to listen to others’ perspectives and talk in good faith about the many issues we face, he meets people where they are and finds ways to move forward together.
An artist, potter, and small business owner, Sam teaches ceramics around the state. A strong advocate for working families, he will always put his community members first in Concord.
Sam believes in a vibrant working and middle class with access to affordable housing, quality public schools, resilient farms, and a clean environment that everyone can enjoy. He will fight for everyone — from the young families just starting out, to our farmers, veterans, retirees, and everyone who calls the Granite State home.
“Join me in the fight to lower property taxes, fund our schools, empower workers, and make housing accessible for all Granite Staters.”
— Sam Deering
The Priorities
Key Issues
Lowering Property Taxes
Relief for homeowners, renters, and small businesses squeezed by rising costs.
Affordable Housing
Housing that working families, young people, and retirees can actually afford.
Quality Public Schools
Fully funded public education for every child in every town.
Fair Wages
Empowering workers so a job in New Hampshire pays enough to live in New Hampshire.
Lower Energy Costs
Bringing down electric and heating bills for Granite State families.
Veteran Care
Standing up for the veterans who stood up for us — as only a fellow veteran can.
Healthy Farms
Resilient local farms that feed our communities and keep our land working.
Healthy Environment
Clean air, clean water, and open spaces that everyone can enjoy.
Our District
Nine communities. One voice.
Sullivan County District 8 is one of New Hampshire’s most oddly drawn districts — a sprawling map that stretches from the Connecticut River valley across the hills to Sunapee and Washington. What its towns share is what matters: hard-working people who deserve a real voice in Concord.
The district elects two representatives. Sam is proud to run on the Democratic ticket alongside Hope Damon, fighting for every corner of the district.
